Attorney
Dennis O’Brien is from Dublin, Georgia and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia. During college, Dennis was in the Georgia Army National Guard as a medic with the 48th Brigade and was called to active duty during Operation Desert Shield/Storm.
After graduating from the University of Georgia, Dennis moved to Memphis, Tennessee. While in Memphis, Dennis joined the Memphis Police Department where he worked on the streets in both uniform patrol and in plain clothes. During his police career, Dennis also served as a Field Training Officer training rookie police officers how to properly perform their duties.
During his time as a police officer, Dennis saw how complex and frightening the criminal justice system seems to a person accused of a crime. After almost seven years of police work, Dennis left the Memphis Police Department and went to law school at Gonzaga University, a Jesuit law school in Spokane, Washington.
Following law school, Dennis returned home to Georgia to practice law. Dennis has been able to use his experience in law enforcement to help his clients in the courtroom. Dennis reviews police reports and police case files not only as a lawyer, but also as a former training officer. This knowledge better helps not only Dennis, but the client.
When Dennis is not in Court defending his clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, drawing and playing golf.
